Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°c.
  2. In a bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, almonds and cinnamon.
  3. Remove pits from dates. Place in a blender with the small amount of water and blend until broken down into small chunks.
  4. Add eggs, coconut oil and vanilla extract and blend to combine.
  5. Add the date mix to flour mix. Stir well until it forms a sticky mix. Mix in the chocolate chips.
  6. Two options to bake: Place a large tbsp of mix into fairy cake cases or line a bread tin with coconut oil and tip in the mix (to make slices)
  7. Bake in the oven for approx 20 mins, but check after 15. Cakes are ready when the top gently springs back when pressed.
  8. If using the tin, leave to cool before turning out and slicing.
